I am a storyteller, and usually a am writing german storys. But lately I tried to write an english shortstory (for some kind of project). I learned english at school, so I am not quite sure if I got everything right. So now I'm looking for some native speakers who read over the story and tell me what's wrong... it is 6 pages long and some kind of fantasy-pirate-psycho-tale. So if anyone is interested and likes to help me, I'd greatly appreciate it! :-) bye, Dirk ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 11:49:37 EST From: MinervAthene@aol.com Subject: OV: Re: story Hi Dirk I'd be happy to try helping you out - I'm fairly good with grammar and English (hopeless with any other language, though!) as long as you don't take offense when I start sounding like my English teacher (she was a scary woman!!) :) ! The only thing I'd point out is that English from a native speaker isn't as formal as it tends to be when taught as a foreign language, so I might end up pointing you in too casual a direction. If you think that sounds okay, email me the story. :o) Sarah ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Nov 2001 18:50:09 -0800 (PST) From: doug brown Subject: Re: OV: Justin sighting >>In closing there shall be no more discussion of >>sexual fantasies. You're the one who doesn't want Justin's leather trousers (which incidently aren't leather - but glazed cotton) mentioned on the list - but have you seen anyone mention them over the past two years or so apart from you?
