Great to see you on OV!!!  I've really enjoyed our Thursday evening chats.

Hopefully over the next few months we will have so much more to talk about

I am getting so excited about the prospect of a new album, and having seen
two Dels this week makes the excitement more intense.

Oh and don't take any notice of Mr Douglas - pretending to be a big bad
wolf! :-)  He's lovely really.   If we girls want to talk about Justin in a
kilt we will - and the boys can talk about guitar tabs and amplifiers
amongst themselves! :-))

Hello!

I've been reading OV for a couple of weeks now, and thought it was time to 
make myself known and say a big 'hi' to everyone! Also, about all this 
business with Mr Currie in a kilt: at least he has the legs for it! There's 
nothing worse than seeing the typical Scotsman's weedy legs wandering around 
in chilly Edinburgh or Glasgow, I'll have you know!! Sorry to Andrew Douglas 
for bringing it up again, but as Jane says - while we patiently wait the new 
album, us girlies might as well enjoy kilts, leather trousers, snogging or 
anything else!!! :) Oh, and just in the name of equality, the guitar tab is 
of interest to some of the girls, too - just as much as the kilt interests 
some of the guys, I'm sure!! lol :-)

P.S. Did you watch Europe MTV today? It was Britney Day. Absolutely
brilliant, everytime I look at her 2000 MTV awards performance I just think
"Wow!".
P.P.S. The Corrs played an outdoor charity gig in Belfast tonight for
"Children in Need". That Andrea Corr is simply beautiful, her dark eyes and
dark hair just do it for me!<<<

I was just wondering if any list members in the USA have had any experience 
with region-free dvd players.  There are a number of music dvds released 
only in the UK and Europe, specifically a new Texas-Live in Paris dvd which 
is about to be released which includes a complete live performance from 
their recent Greatest Hits tour, and about a dozen or so of their song 
videos which we rarely get to see here in the USA.  There are also some 
various-artist festival performance dvds listed on Amazon-UK which include 
Del Amitri and Texas among others. After a bit of internet searching, I've 
found a Sampo DVE-611 dvd player for about $299 which purports to be 
region-free, macrovision-free, and can play PAL discs on NTSC televisions 
and vice versa.  Does anyone have this machine or know anyone who does? When 
Del Amitri someday releases their own dvd I intend to be ready. Cheers.

I know, I know . . . you're probably sick of Pottermania already.  But I was
among 400 lucky people last night to see one of the many showings of the
Philosophers Stone (after having read all 4 books three times) and I was
BLOWN AWAY!

For all of you who haven't seen it yet, do!  I took two people to the show
and they're both middle aged Potter converts.   Now, keeping in mind that I
am one of the few that thinks CTBF is the most romantic song ever to flow
from the tip of Justin's pen, I may be dismissed as a ranting raving North
American, with taste residing someplace near my toes.  See the movie anyway!
Your imagination will love you for it!

BTW, one of those middle aged Potter converts is also now a middle aged Del
convert, so the Potter angle can't be all that bad!
