Some of you may know that I play guitar in an "acoustic" band that comprises of myself and some other people at my work and we did one charity concert that raised #1,600. Some one enjoyed it and we have been hired again to play at a charity concert on the 23rd Nov. The problem that the band (called DNA, as it comprises of a Doctor, Nurse and Anaesthetist) cant decide on the order of our set list as we thought the last one was not quite right when we listened back to it. I suddenly had I idea, Why not ask the people who I consider have an excellent taste in music, and also have attended a few live gigs over the years. So OV'ers can you help me with my Set List?? I will list the 17 songs that we are doing and leave the rest to you!! The concert will be recorded and a big thanks the OV mailing list will be mentioned before a certain song from a Scottish band!!! (I finally got a Del song in the set list!!).If you are unaware of the songs I am sure with the wonders of the net you will be able to hear what they sound like. So in no particular order. Ticket to Ride-The Beatles Don't Let me Down-The Beatles Get Back-The Beatles You Cant Do That- The Beatles Don't Cry No Tears-Neil Young Dance Dance Dance-Steve Miller Band She Darked The Sun-Dilland And Clark Charlie's Bar-Del Amtri!!!!! Heart Of Gold-Neil Young Revolution (in the summertime)-Cosmic Rough Riders Graveyard Shift-Steve Earl Are You Ready for the County-Neil Young Tulsa Time-Eric Clapton That'll Be the Day-Buddy Holly Weather with you-Crowded House Sing-Travis Babylon-David Gray(This is the best song we do, very different from the original, The song that everyone hopes we will play again-I can send anyone a copy by e-mail if you are interested) Well That is it Please Help me and stop internal band strife over "should we put all the rock and roll together?" "Now the set list looks like a 70's tribute night" ChrisF ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #280 **********************************
