Yes, Idiot's Delight is a great "free-form" radio show here in New York. Unfortunately for Vin, and all of us, the station that carried him on Sunday nights for years decided that his show wasn't commercial enough and sold the time off. He had to switch to Saturday nights on an NPR (public radio) station, 90.7 WFUV. Needless to say, this makes it less convenient for most people to listen to the show, but he still mananges to book great guests. You can go to www.wfuv.org for his playlists and they just started archiving the shows (yea!), but alas, not as far back as when our beloved Dels were on. (that was pretty long ago and at the other station) If anyone can find a recording of that visit, please send it to me! I'd say it's extremely likely that Vin, even with less airtime these days, will find some room to play something from "Can You Do Me Good" when the time comes...he's got excellent taste. I've been known to buy discs just because I saw that he's been playing them. Brian. I'll give you the link to it as soon as it's up. :-) It is about 30 minutes long, and in the interview the radio jockey asks Justin why they made such a dramatic change in style between their first and their second album. Unfortunately my recording of the show ends with this question, just when Justin was about to answer. DAAAAMN!!!!! If anyone has got this missing part, I'll be glad if you could get it to me! Dirk By the way: The new ICQ (2001b) has got file sharing integrated, so if you like to download ANY of my concerts or b-sides or rare stuff of the Dels that I got - just contact me and I'll share the stuff you like and you'll be free to download. My ICQ name: Arathas, my number: 116203790 Would be great if everyone on this list could send a short mail with his ICQ number in the head! :-) ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #276 **********************************
