I've met people before that say they're so and so's relative, or ex-manager, etc, and not a single time was it true. I think people who go around bragging about things like that, to people they don't know, are maybe just trying to get some attention they normaly don't get. Not that I know much about psycology or anything, this is just my own personal theory. Also, the new album isn't live. It was recorded in various studios. And all the songs are "new" in that they've not appeared on previous recordings - though some of them have been performed live in the past few years. And I agree 100% with Alison as far as his commitment to Iain and the Del Amitri name is concerned. I don't know who this guy was Lindsay - but I'm sure he was pulling your plonker. Thanks for the plug for the chat Alison - and anyone else who wants to join us, we'd love you to. We don't even talk Del Amitri all the time! (Actually - we often don't talk Dels at all unless someone new joins us!) It say's under the album name that it's taken from "Idiot's Delight". Is this a boot or is it maybe a radio station compilation? Thought someone out there might know. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 5 Nov 2001 00:10:04 -0000 From: "Andrew Douglas" Subject: OV: Re: What is Idiot's Delight In answer to my question! Idiot's Delight was a radio show hosted by Vin Scelsa in New York. The station is WFUV, and seems to be a uni station - Fordham University. He actually seemed to have really class guests on. And the moral of this story is always do a search on google before you ask questions. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrew Douglas" To: Sent: Sunday, November 04, 2001 11:59 PM Subject: OV: What is Idiot's Delight > Just happened to be listening to some of my MP3's and i looked at the tag on > my copy of Drowned on Dry Land. Also, the new album isn't live. It was recorded Yeah, I've gotten other confirmation as well that he only ONLY only has a sister. Thank goodness, I don't think I could stand two lovelorn Currie males wandering the Earth. :) Happy Sunday. a - ------------------------------------------------------------------- Alison Bellach: alibee@delamitri.com http://alibee.linex.com http://www.delamitri.com "If you want peace, work for justice." ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #274 **********************************
