I'm a bit... not very observant, sometimes, so I have to confess it took me A LOOONG time to realize Kevin was Kevin from the uk DA site. But I think the real reason I didn't notice is because he's just one more fan, at least on this list. I think it's great he gives us his opinion on the new stuff, we're all pretty grown up to later judge for ourselves. If everybody liked everything it'd be a bit sick, wouldn't it? 'Cos as we say in Spanish, there are as many different tastes as colors... I'd rather hear "Cry to be Found". About it being the perfect album, strike 'Start with Me' (weakest song on the album imho) and move 'it's never to late to be alone' to Change Everything, and you'd have it. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Oct 2001 20:46:51 +0100 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: Re: Subject: OV: RE: Re: webmaster responsibilities, album title Funny isn't it. A lot of people dislike Food For Songs. I love it - the imagery is just so clear. But I do tend to like Justin's "issue" songs - the ones not about love and stuff, but the uncomfortable ones giving his view of the bad things in life. "The Whole World Is Quiet" is another. And the guitar on FFS is just wonderful. Oh and I adore "Start With Me"! It's one of my very favourite live songs - especially when they pause for just a moment, and Iain comes in with that guitar, starting low and going up through the octaves until it's almost unbearable to listen to. It knocks me out every time, it's just so dramatic. Oh I'm so desperate to see them live again :-(( Jane ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Oct 2001 16:46:37 EDT From: Wonderwoman681@aol.com Subject: OV: Start with me I always thought "start with me" was one of the stonger "heavy" tracks on twisted ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 4 Oct 2001 16:23:56 -0500 From: Leah D Schenkenberg Subject: Re: Subject: OV: RE: Re: webmaster responsibilities, album title I never liked food for songs until I listened to their acoustic version of it...some weird "appreciation" switch flipped or something, because I love it now.
