I was watching Sky News this morning with my Daughter on my lap, and she was telling me they had to be quiet at school yesterday(during the 3 minute silence). She said in the most soft voice "I wish we could make those people happy, we will have to buy them all flowers" Lump to throat... -- Kevin Cawthorne Webmaster The Official Del Amitri Website (UK) www.delamitri.co.uk ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 10:41:07 +0100 From: "Chris Fleming" Subject: OV: Nostradamus hoax If any one else like me got the sick e-mail claiming to be from a nostradamus prediction, about the start of WW3 then check out this web page to confirm it as just a sick stupid hoax http://www.dreamscape.com/morgana/91101.htm ChrisF ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Sep 2001 10:45:01 +0100 From: "Chris Fleming" Subject: OV: Good News It was great to read of Iain's wonderful news, their is some miracles in this world. Definitely brought a large lump to a lot of people's throats. I wish we could buy them all flowers too. I'm still waiting to hear about a couple friends and a couple clients from work who are in the WTC area, and hoping for the best. Several of my friends here are waiting to hear about relatives. It's astounding how many people from all over have ties to that area. Still seems surreal sometimes. It's been great to read all the messages and expressions of support from people all over the world on this list. And to all of you on the list who have been affected in one way or another by this, my heart goes out to you. The post about Sting from Jane prompted me to reread the lyrics to Fragile... And also to send out part of my favorite piece of literature... Turning and turning in the widening gyre The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity. From "The Second Coming" WB Yeats, 1922 Full poem here (which is only one more stanza), well worth the read: http://www.crocker.com/~lwm/second.html ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
