The logistics aren't certain yet, but will be most likely available to Delfan members(the new free Del Amitri fan system launching when co.uk relaunches (Yes i know i know!! Its VERY late but almost there!), but will also be available on Alison's .com as well.). JPR expect this to be one or two tracks, and are in the proccess of arranging it all. No further news on this as yet, but I will be chasing it up if nothing is heard soon. While we are on the subject of it, did everyone enjoy the Band's diary? Justin said he enjoyed doing it, and if you enjoyed it, they will continue to write in it. Please send feedback on this. Kevin Cawthorne www.delamitri.co.uk >> On a dels point of view. If I want to read deranged rambling essays on nothing at all I can read my own diary. I had more fun at http://www.victoriabeckham.mu/ trying to win trainers hand decorated by Posh Spice herself (please don't compete against me, I'll share if I win them). However if the band wants to err um provide some insight into what goes into making a record and um err shares the pen some that could be good. It was fun trying to sort the bull from the genuine bits of insight in Justin's posts, and Iain's were simply fun. Short, but fun. Speaking of short, perhaps Kris could write a bit too. Oooh, Doug's starting to be a bad influence isn't he? I first heard "No Holding On" when I happened upon a Dels radio interview in 1990 in Boston (don't know which station). I grabbed a cassette and threw it in to record most of the performance. I guess it was just Justin and Ian playing the song and it was so brilliant, including a whistling solo after the 2nd bridge. The acoustic guitar sound and strumming was similar to "Evidence", which I head for the first time tonight. Now, I've heard the B-side of "Nothing Every Happens" as it was recorded and I cannot believe how bad it is. The staccato electric guitar, the ill-conceived drums....I wish I had never heard it. Has anyone else ever heard an acoustic version of this song? Interesting view into their state of mind while working on the album. And, as someone who has been accused of having a strange sense of humor, I found Justin's writings hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more of them.
