Well I am positive Virgin Radio will play them, and it's up to us to badger people like Steve Wright and Jonathan Ross (who target the sort of audiences likely to buy the Dels), but I thought you might be interested in the following, which Marlillion are doing to try to get airplay. You just took the words right out of my head. Another good title might be "Better Late Than Never". I'm still thinking, though. Don't get discouraged, we've got enough time to think up PLENTY of names. As I was perusing the peaches, what to my wondering ears should appear but Del Amitri singing Driving With the Brakes On. This was wonderful, especially since here in the US we usually only get muzak or lame top-40 on store p.a. systems. Every once in a while the programmers of supermarket music throw in something good and it's always a shock. Once I heard Julia Fordham and another time it was Chris Rea - these are artists that almost never get radio play in the US. Just wanted to share tonight's Del Amitri moment. - - William _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #203 **********************************
