If we can't see the Dels for another million months or so, then at least we get to see some of them. If anyone else on this list is going, they are appearing with Eileen Rose (as Kevin has already reported) on Saturday on the Aladdin's Cave Stage. This is a much smaller and more intimate stage to the main one, so you should get a good view. Please come up and say hello to me, I'll be in a wheelchair or on crutches with a big black boot on and may well be wearing a Del Amitri baseball hat. I'll have a dark haired husband with me and two blond haired little boys, and will undoubtedly be parked right in front of Iain!! However, if you're a Cast fan you may want to note that they'll be playing on the Main Stage at the same time as Eileen. (thought you may get to see the last 20 minutes of Cast). And then the evening will be rounded off with a performance by James. They were absolutely brilliant at Guildford two years ago, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again. Does sound like a fun game though - I may even manage to book Del Amitri to headline at whatever the next Wembley Stadium will be. (Cardiff, Nigel??) > Why? And James are down as being on from 9.30 to 11 pm. One of the best bits last time they played there was when they got the whole audience sitting down, singing "Oh sit down, oh sit down. Sit down next to me" for about 10 minutes. Absolutely one of the best festival moments ever. I'd probably never have heard of them if I hadn't gone to Birmingham in '96 and heard it in a club. EVERYONE was singing it there when it came on. It was pretty cool, I thought. We never get any cool shows in Dallas anymore. I can't wait 'til December when I'll be in Glasgow. Maybe I'll have a week filled with awesome shows with any luck. :-) debbie Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! Sit Down was a big hit when it came out and James were pretty popular. Their Greatest Hits CD always reminds me of when the Dels played City in The Park in Nottingham three years ago. Lori Royal-Gordon, Karen Nesbitt and Jack Poole had flown over the big pond to join us (I think we were a crowd of about 15 OV'ers there that day - maybe more). It was freezing cold, and we were all crushed together for the whole day. They played James' Greatest Hits over the PA in between acts, and we Brits were all singing along - but our North American cousins had never heard them. James' Greatest Hits CD was released very shortly before Singles 89-98 was due out and I remember we talked on OV about the fact that they had a design featuring coloured squares, and how we thought that Singles 89-98 was sort of similar and we weren't so keen. As we now know it was pulled anyway and the Hatful of Rain cover was so much better. Since then, James have released TWO studio albums. And Del Amitri........????
