I really have to agree here. I can't sing the praises of this site and their marketing strategy too highly. We were kept informed of everything, given sneak previews of the WHOLE album, send e-postcards, exclusive competitions, games etc. It was brilliantly executed. I must admit I pointed Kevin in their direction once or twice to have a look at what they had on offer. Don't be so defeatist! As I said the other day, if you let us know of a website which counts towards the Ozzie chart positions we can all log-on and order our copies of the Ozzie single and album and boost sales Down Under. You had two extra tracks on SOSP, so if this is the case with the next one we would be more than happy to order the Australian version. That way maybe the Australian promoters may take note. The Band have said on numerous occasions that they really want to go to Oz again, but that it's down to the promoters. There are quite a few Ozzie OV'ers too - couldn't you all lobby the local radio stations and get them playing Del Amitri before the album is released? Anyway, if you could let us know a URL where we can all order from a month or so before the release, then we can get moving. Its the only festival I have ever been to when I have spent the whole weekend and seen a bout 2 bands 'coz there is so much else to do such as great comedians and entertainers. Also you don't get the unknown performers setting up in a tent in the corner of a field and playing their stuff at other places. And other stuff such as Evan Dando (Lemonheads) doing a set from the top of a camper van. Still each to their own I guess. I had a quick look and HMV.com.au looks the most likely candidate... For those of you who do go have a look can you tell me anything about the Ltd Edition version of Twisted they have on offer? It is $93 Australian!!!!!(Which would be about a gum wrapper, a tooth pick and some ear wax in the UK at the moment *S*) BTW...on another note...the artist I mentioned last week, Pete Murray, has now got his own website up and running. It is at www.petemurray.com.au No solid date for the release of the EP at the moment but definately in the next month (No Mercury execs here!) If you go back to http://www.brispop.com/artist.cfm?artistID=47 You will be able to listen to an alternative track from the EP... Sorry Alison..I contacted management and there is no MP3 site yet...
