HI all In reply to erm............. someones piece concerning turin brakes, I have heard of the band, but don;t know great deal. I'm not even sure of the spelling. The had a release about a month back that got a bit of airplay on radio1 called 'the underdogs' taken from their latest album 'Optimist'. Very progresseive rock/bluesy I thought. I dont ahve the album but it is very high on my wish list. Hope this helps Sam ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 11 Jul 2001 13:55:46 -0700 (PDT) From: Alison Bellach Subject: Re: OV: New Australian talent... > Since we have been in a bit of an acoustic mode with > this talk of Neil Finn I thought that some of you > might be interested in having a listen to a friend of > mine, Pete Murray. Now if the DELS would hurry and return for a couple shows here, I would be satisfied. Cleo (back to lurking) P.S. I just wanted you all to know about this new band called ZOO STORY. They're great and check out their website: www.zoostory.net. Their album should be released next month (Aug). They're cool dudes and rock live. It was totally spontaneous with no interviewing beforehand; Neil had no idea what he was getting with each new volunteer, but it worked out beautifully. People switched off doing a couple songs and then letting other fans have a chance--they played piano, guitar, bass, drums, did backing vocals (as one guy put it, "I get to be Tim tonight!"). It was wild and wonderful--one of the best concerts I've ever seen, although I spent the whole time wishing I knew how to play something. If you get a chance to see one of these shows, don't miss it! ~Lori ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Get personalized email addresses from Yahoo!
