Hey hey, just wanted to tell you all that my Del Amitri site ( www.delamitri.de ) has got a new design! :-) Come and sign my guestbook, download the weekly Dels concert or just surf around!! Please note: The site works perfectly on Internet Explorer, but for some reason it's making problems with Netscape. The 'subscribe' button for the Mp3 mailing list and the newsletter is not there. Kevin told me that it's the javascript that's wrong. So if someone knows what to do and how I could get it right, I would be grateful!! Thanks and bye, Dirk ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 17:30:10 +0100 From: "michelle.schermesser" Subject: OV: UK Del Amitri Website Hi Webmaster Kevin, Can you tell me when you'll be back with your new website ? And you are probably the guy who must know what Del Amitri means. Does it really mean 'From the womb' ??? Cheers, Michelle - Long live the Dels - XXX PS : Maybe I was wrong about comparing Jude to Jennifer, but you will not tell me that Joe does not look like his dad.... :.) ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 4 Jul 2001 17:36:35 +0100 From: "michelle.schermesser" Subject: OV: Susan's trip to Paris Hi Susan, You're right when you talk about Andy's eyebrows. I keep on watchin that video just to have a good laugh. How was Paris ? People in England always ask me how is Paris like. But even though I'm French, they are surprised that I've never visited Paris. I've been there several times, just for concerts but no visiting.. . I can't be bothered when I want to enjoy my con-certs. As far as I know, it's not available in VHS format (though some of us have been able to get our hands on a version that was copied from the other format). But I may be wrong. Someone else here should know for sure. Still wondering why the video to SOSP isn't on there....has anyone ever seen it? BTW...I got Let's Go Home a few weeks back. I've only watched it once so far, but I absolutely love when Justin is singing that song from the first album, acoustically on the guitar. They only included a short clip of it, but I really would like to hear them redo some of those songs again. Happy 4th of July, for those that are affected by it. In germany it's still easy to get when you're living far in the north (Hamburg or so), but in the south, where I live, nobody even knows that Del Amitri is a band. Every time I mention the name the people ask: "Huh? Dimitri? Sounds funny!" But I'm not sure if the VHS video is available at internet shops, too... But I may be wrong. Someone else here should know for >sure. Hi, It is available in VHS, but in the PAL system rather than the NTSC system, so it will depend on whether your VCR is compatible. A lot of PAL VCRs can play back NTSC tapes, but not record in NTSC, so we can't do copies at home. From what I've heard, the VCRs in the US can't playback PAL. I believe there are companies who will convert from one to the other, but they are expensive. Perhaps there are some US listees who would trade a copy with you? Roll on Del videos on DVD - mmmm Dels in DTS sound! But then we'll have the whole region debate - US is (region) R1, UK and Europe are R2 and you can't play a different region on your player unless you've had it chipped or you have a hackable player. Although Australian fans may be ok as R2 releases are often both R2 and R4 compatible...... Or are music DVDs R0? (ie compatible with all regions?) Isn't technology a wonderful thing :o/ Hilary ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 07:51:33 +0100 From: "Hilary Gray" Subject: OV: Chat tonight Hi all, A number of us have a regular chat on Thursday nights at http://www.delamitri.co.uk/~janea/chat.html If you're around and online, please join us to chat about anything and everything. I am looking forward to the time when all film clips are available on DVD. Australia is R4 however some machines can play all zones and my player embraces all countries. I think come around time of the new album release I feel a campaign should be in order, plus the DVD could come with commentary from the guys. I would however like them to be released on DVD so I can jump straight to the clip of my choice, instead of memorising the minutes and seconds that each clip takes. Sometimes I just want to see Here and Now or Driving or show some of my friends the cool Justin 'Twisted' era floppy hair. BTW in the 'Here and Now' clip what does it say in the box at the end, my eye sight in my 21 years is not what it used to be. Cheers, Also I'm currently in a cleansing period, I am not listening to any more Del Amitri untill the new album's release to make the old sounds new again and to make the news sound completely amazing, however I will check the site like the same old mad women that I am. But guaranteed I will fall off.
