[Debbie Cushing Subject: OV: A Del Amitri fan seeks a Del Amitri answer Hi all Del fans, To introduce myself to you : I'm Michelle and I come from France but live in Manchester (UK). I've been reading your messages on the board for the last few months now, but I've never got the chance to have a go myself. The first time I ever heard of Del Amitri was when they released 'Nothing ever happens'. That takes us a few years back, doesn't it ? I know that most of you on this board are ameri-cans, that's why sometimes I feel completely lost in my thoughts when you're talking about so and so band in concert but our Dels. OK, I should know that most French people still live behind the clouds when it comes to music !!!??? :.) I don't even know if the Dels have fans in France ? In my whole life I've never met any Del Amitri fan up to now... I saw most of their performances on German or Swiss TV channels, but never on any French Tv channel. I've just bought the 'Hatful of rain' video (again !!!) and I just adore our Baby Dels in 'Roll to me' ? Aren't they cute and gorgeous ? Actually, if (Hey !) I'm with you today, it's because I would like to know what the hidden track (track # 98) on 'Lousy with love' is called? Can anyone please tell me ? LOL Michelle XXX LONG LIVE OUR DELS ! I like so ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2001 10:07:13 -0400 From: Karen Scully-Clemmons Subject: OV: Speaking of Scots with good voices... Has anyone seen Moulin Rouge? Musicals may not be everyone's taste, but this one is worth it just for Ewan doing Your Song. Why is Jennifer Lopez making records and he not?! Impatiently awaiting any new Del material, Karen ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Jun 2001 15:29:36 +0100 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: Re: A Del Amitri fan seeks a Del Amitri answer Michelle The 98th track is called The Whole World Is Quiet and was a B side on Always The Last To Know. It tackles the taboo subject of child abuse. Justin has never been one to hide from an issue. Glad to have you on board. Maybe we'll meet up at a gig sometime...... soon(?) Amen, sister! It was a bit bizarre at first, especially when it's supposed to be 1899 and you're hearing songs by Nirvana, Marilyn Monroe, Madonna, Beatles, Elton John, etc. Once you really got into the characters and the story, though, it starts to make sense in a fun/odd way. I'm all for unique and this is definately it. And you're right....Ewan SHOULD be making records! purrrrrrrrrr have a good day, debbie - --- Karen Scully-Clemmons wrote: > Has anyone seen Moulin Rouge?
