Afterwards, we were talking and I kind of told her she needs to play in Bend. I emailed her about it the next day, as a friendly reminder... and she forwarded it to her agent. The agent wrote me asking for names and numbers of places to play in Bend. Well, seems she is now tentatively scheduled to play here in Bend in July! Now, if I wrote JPR with the same idea, do you think I'd get the same response? If any response AT ALL?? This agent as well as the publicist are both in Atlanta Georgia, so they do rather depend on me for information. Now, some would say that Bend is just getting big enough to have the *name* acts come through town (A Walk Down Abbey Road is opening their tour here!). Delbert McClinton is playing here this summer, as are a couple of others whos names escape me at this moment... I know this is going to be a stop on several of the big country acts this summer. That doesn't excite me much. Anyway. I just wanted to point this out to folks in smaller towns, that sometimes just by asking, you can bring music to YOUR town. Music that YOU want to hear. - - Darren ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 16 May 2001 08:55:20 -0700 (PDT) From: Alison Bellach Subject: Re: OV: Here and Now What other movies have Del songs in them? I have made the decision that Change Everything is my new fav, even ahead of Twisted right now. It makes me happy to finally understand some of the stuff that you guys were talking about earlier (confetti hearts, surface of the moon etc.). I just wanted to let you guys know of a really great version of Driving With the Breaks On live. Out here where I live a local radio station has groups come play for them and each year puts out a CD of the best performances of the year. If you go to KBCO.com, and look for Studio C, you should be able to find it. I think that it was on volume six. Anyhow, it's a great version, and I just love Justin's voice.
