It was a take off of quiz shows like A Question of Sport and They Think It's All over, with of all people, Noel Gallagher and Paul Daniels on one team! Apologies to all you people outside the UK, for who this probably means sod all. Looks like David is unlikely to be out of work for any length of time though. They do seem familiar now that I see the packaging...don't know if I've had any, though. Will you post it somewhere so we can see? (LOL....I'm assuming you're going to work on an image like that...but then again...I think it's a fair assumption 'cause that's just too good to pass!) I can't remember if you've ever been over before, so here are a few helpful resources... Something to give you a visual taste before you arrive... http://www.livesights.com/cgi-bin/nph-VideoPages.plx?title=live It might seem terribly 'touristy', but it's a great (and cheap) way to see London (and the natives take it as much as the Yanks...) http://london.walks.com/index.html London Transport Page (The Tube) Don't leave home without THIS... http://www.londontransport.co.uk/ Or THIS....If you simply refuse to purchase an A-Z, (NOT recommended, but available at every newsagent) you can check out various addresses/locations here: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/ Right. Want Concert Tickets before you leave the States? These guys are reputable & cost less than TicketMaster.com http://www.aloud.com First day in, you MUST purchase the Time Out directory....no if's, and's or but's about it. Want to know ALL the theatre, rock, pop, jazz, poetry, fringe, museum, TV and radio listings from Wednesday to Wednesday? Time Out. Indispensable. And only #2.70. http://www.timeout.com Um, from my experiences gained through extensive trial & error, may I suggest that you leave virtually all your money in you bank and utilize your Cirrus/TeleCheck/MasterCard/Visa-based ATM/debit card (not credit card) to access money. Studies show that you pay not only the lower exchange rate, but also pay merely your bank's withdrawal penalty (not the 10% the Bureau de Change charges you)... You can find today's exchange rate (and print-out a handy "Cheat Sheet" guide to UK currency) at http://www.travlang.com/money/ . When I was there last month, the exchange rate was a wonderful #1.00 = $1.47. Again, you may know all of this already...just trying to help.
