I would replace 'When you were young' with the alternative version which was a B-side on one of the singles from Twisted (Tell Her This I believe). Would definitely add whiskey remorse, and if I had to chose would probably take of 'I won't take the blame'. I'm sorry but every time I think of Justin its the way he looked in Atlanta eons ago, cinnamon-hued shirt and black leather pants but I know that's the kind of detail only a lady would tuck carefully in the memories pages.... &:^) To totally change the subject, I need a new Del Amitri bumper sticker so howsabout somebody coming up with a new one? Mine says "I (heart) Del Amitri" and the heart has faded something awful; my son offered to literally paint my DA sentiments on the back door of the van but I think that might affect the future resale value... Agreed. "First Rule of Love" is exquisite. Another song that is just brilliant, and I haven't seen much of a mention of so far is "Life Is Full" from SOSP. I get up and dance and clap my hands everytime that song comes on my stereo. Also, one of my favourite b-sides is "Queen of False Alarms." From what era of the Dels is this? josh. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Feb 2001 10:46:58 -0800 From: "Holmquist, Darren" Subject: RE: OV: Re: Discuss > -----Original Message----- > Also, one of my favourite b-sides is "Queen of False Alarms." > From what era of the Dels is this? Once, I listened to that song on repeat for nearly 2 hours as I drove back to college. I totally forgot about Queen of False Alarms...definitely one of my favorite bsides. I wish that could be on Twisted like Long Way Down. Leah ============ I used to compensate for what I couldn't achieve. I presume it was something to do with changing album songs etc... For what it's worth I think I can speak for us all when I suggest that the following songs should have been put on the following albums - without taking anything off. WH - Evidence & So Many Souls To Change CE - Learn to Cry (alt. version) & Long Journey Home T - A Better Man & In The Frame (how I fondly remember the discussion we had on that song. were they split up, weren't they? yada, yada, yada ...) SOSP - Sleep Instead of Teardrops Next time I get asked I'll choose different songs. andrew P.S. I can't wait for the new album cause then we'll have new songs to talk about. Please, God, don't let me down now! I need your help! You see, I'm a filesharer, and I am trying to get a hold of ONE lousy song! Well, the song isn't lousy, but you get the idea! God, I am looking for a song by the Outfield. My friends all say "Who??" and I'll have to sing Josie for them, and then they tell me I can't sing and . . . it just get's embarassing! I want you to visit all of my friends tonight on the Del Amitri chat list and ask THEM for me! Please? I'll do the dishes tomorrow! I'm looking for "For You" by the Outfield. Not "Your Love (Josie)" but "For You". If anybody could share it, I would be grateful! Man, I spent an hour and a half in one CD shop alone looking and they aren't there. Thanks for the help God. Now you get to more pressing matters . . . like kicking Michael Heisley's ass all the way to New Orleans! They can have the smegger along with the NBA!
