My feeling is that he went ahead with it. This is one of two songs which always sends shivers down my spine and gives me butterflies in the stomach (the other is When You Were Young). I always go quiet when I hear it and if affects my mood - not many songs have this sort of effect on me. I completely agree with you Espen - this song is a masterpiece. "swish" meaning "cool"? "fast moving"? Leah ============ I used to compensate for what I couldn't achieve. Tee-hee. Last night I sang "Roll To Me" at karaoke. (It was the only DA song available.) Little did I know the hornet's nest I'd stir up by saying I like to shuffle. I usually do this when there are multiple disks in the player; when I listen to only one disk at once, I rarely mix it up. I agree that sometimes one expects to hear certain songs following certain previous songs. For example, I'd never dream of shuffling "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy." This also transcends albums in some cases: when I was little I would use a portable cassette player to tape songs off the transistor radio and then wear the tapes out listening to them. To this day I think something's wrong when "Jive Talkin' " doesn't follow "Uncle Albert" ! ... Jim H., I've briefly checked out a few snips of Spearmint. I hear many influences in the music and look forward to more thorough investigation. Thanks for the suggestion. Bette, I remember both the Suburbs and the Mats, though I never particularly got into either. I'll now have to search for the single all over again as I won't rest untill I have that song again. It is worth it as it also contains 'Crashing Down' and 'A Better Man'. How can I get the alternative 'Food for Songs'. I love the acoustic versions, I think that the sign of a good song is that it can be stripped down to just an acoustic guitar and still work.
