My dad made me a tape from the record that had Making Love Outta Nothing at All followed by All Out of Love all the way at the beginning of one side, and I used to listen, rewind, listen, rewind, listen, rewind, listen, rewind over and over and over. I would sing this weird gibberish to the words of Making Love because he sang them so fast I didn't understand them. I still do All out of Love on piano... And I'm a frequent ABBA listener. I always hear the opening music over the intercoms in Kmart and get all excited for a second. But it's ALWAYS the A-team...not the real thing. I often feel unworthy to be banded together with Del Amitri fans who listen to such good awesome music, while I'm still trying to fight my rocky musical past that embraces such horrors (my dad flat out refuses to let me listen to the Partridge family when he's within ear shot, even though it's one of the best cleaning albums of all time). But hey...we all gotta like something, right? Leah On Sat, 13 Jan 2001 23:51:06 EST Chuckbida@aol.com writes: > So who is *first* on the lists? Air Supply? ABBA? ;-) I imagine > dcTalk is > second. I must agree. I'm sorry, but I feel so greedy saying, "why don't they give us what we want". I also fear that (as tempermental as Justin seems to be sometimes) if he sees that the fans on the web are disgruntled he might start to dislike us. I am not upset with the band. If they never put out another album it would kill me but I would be glad for what we have. I just don't get the obligation angle that you guys seem to be so passionate about. I do understand that you'd like to be recognized for sticking it out this long but I think we'll get our reward soon enough. Stay hopeful!
