I had enough artwork to fill the gallery, a total of 57 original pastel paintings & colored pencil drawings... including 8 sketches of musicians including our dear Dels. So my mom and my friend Terri are with me at the reception yesterday & the director says "Oh, have you seen the wonderful article in the newspaper about the exhibit?" I hadn't, but when he showed me a copy I nearly fell out in the floor laughing with conspiratory glee..... Of 57 pieces of art including stateside & UK landscapes, still lifes, cats, birds, & musicians, guess which two the newspaper chose to print in color, on the front page of the second section of the newspaper??? Andy Alston and Mark Price!!! And the shot of Andy is a full 5"x9", in living color! (Mark's color photo is about 4"x5") Captions below each photo mention the band and yes, the name is spelled right. I was absolutely thrilled that they chose dear Andy and Mark, because most of the visitors who came to the reception that had seen the paper said "Now who IS this accordion player?" :~) TTFN Susan ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2001 13:16:39 -0800 (PST) From: Alison Bellach Subject: Re: OV: Headlines > I've spent the last 6 weeks getting new artwork ready for a solo exhibit > at a gallery in Milledgeville, Georgia (thus the semi-lurker status here This is fantastic!!! I know you've put a lot of time, effort, and love into your work - and it's great to see you getting the recognition you deserve. I'd love to see a copy of the article! BTW, you didn't put the link to your site in your last mail. I'm sure there are lots of people who'd like a look. Anyway, maybe next time anyone has any contact with the band (hmmmm!) perhaps they can tell them all about this. I bet Mark in particular would be chuffed. Aren't they in the US now, or at least about to be? Finishing off the album....
