Who? you may ask... It was a band made up of old rockers, some of whom you may know. Gary Booker from Procol Harum, Andy Fairweather Lowe (Amen Corner) and a Mr Eric Clapton, who's been in a number of well known bands over the years. They played for almost three hours - pure blues and rock'n'roll. Absolutely amazing. Eric's T-shirt said it all - Supreme. GB did a superb rendition of Whiter Shade of Pale - with solos from Eric and a sax player who's name we didn't catch. Other highlights, Peter Gunn, Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight, St James' Infirmary, If Paradise Is Half As Nice, Knock On Wood - and some of the bluesy numbers - eg Five Long Years. And then we listened to Waking Hours on the way home, and wondered when we'd next be travelling home from a Dels gig. It's been a year and a day since Aberdeen...... :-(( And much longer for most... And now it's gone 3am, and "time for bed" said Zebedee. But from this side of the morning we couldn't care less. Happy New Year everyone!
