That's what happened to me back in the day. I actually knew most of the Bsides before I got Waking Hours and SOSP. I just finally got caught up this year and learned basically everything, and now I've just started actually waiting for something like you all have been for the past 2+ years. I admire your patience. I owe Jack and Ladywiz big hugs for "enlightening" me! Geez luu-eeze, Darren, you haven't written this much in ages. Was it the funeral topic that got your motor running? ;~) TTFN Susan ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 22:21:00 -0600 From: "Ed Minton" Subject: OV: A Sombre topic >I've always fancied Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life. Great Choice, Darren. (And a very memorable scene from that movie, too). >I'm one of those who wants his funeral to be a PARTY!!!! And I agree again. But what kinda party could it be with only one song! That would just get the keg tapped! But, in lieu of writing out the whole set list, I'll just pick the finale. And this is one of my favorite all time songs, anyway: "Say It's Alright" by Curtis Mayfield. Happy Holidays to you all- Eddie in Missouri ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 23:37:31 -0800 From: Kristy McDonald Subject: OV: No dels, but HUGE thanks Hello all! I just wanted to write to say thank you to all who answered my survey a few weeks ago re: trivia for a research paper. Thanks to all of you, I got a perfect score, and my instructor got a kick out of it. I was really happy to recieve so many replies. I'm very glad to be a part of this group. The paper was based on what Americans know of Canadians and vice versa, and how that knowledge is applied to tourism. I asked the same questions of Americans and Canadians and this is what I found - unscientiffically, of course. : ) Canadians surveyed knew 98% more about Americans than is true of the opposite. Canadians scored a total of 73 out of 100, and Americans 38 out of 100. The average score of Canadians was 14.6 out of 20, and Americans averaged 7.6 out of 20. To those who replied from the U.K. and Australia, you knew just as much as those from the States . . good on you! Thank you again, and I hope EVERYONE on the list has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. My thoughts are with you all. Happy 2001. Love from the slopes (I hope)!!
