Hey there's an idea! A C.D. compilation " 20 GREAT FUNERAL SONGS" by various artists. Could have a lot of fun with that one. Actually going back to D.A. I like "Long Journey Home" In particular the first line "By the time you get to hear this I'll be long gone down the road." After that it doesn't quite work but I don't think any of them really do. One song I will have played at my funeral for sure is "Bright side of the road" by Van Morrison Great song! I'm one of those who wants his funeral to be a PARTY!!!! Since I'm gone, people can finally REALLY enjoy themselves at my expense! And, I just wanted to add that, I tossed in a disc, then two, then three, of a compilation I did of Dels songs. I haven't really been listening to much Dels in the last several months. And I tossed in a disc that started with the Change Everything B-sides... I really do love this music!!!! All of a sudden, I couldn't get enough of it! I followed that with the SOSP era stuff, then the Twisted stuff, then the Waking Hours stuff... then......the 1st album stuff... I was voracious in my appetite for Dels!!! I'd forgotten how good these discs I made were! It's a 4 disc set of bsides and album tracks mixed together "into a pleasing sound montage..." And then, later on last night, I met a guy online who's a big Dels fan! He's a columnist here in Bend, and fell in love with the music when SOSP was released. We've only had a brief conversation regarding them, but I'm thinking he doesn't know about the B-sides!!! Oh, what a treat he's in for! I'm actually jealous for what has coming! Wouldn't you? (if you served gentlemen all day?) Imagine, having all the bsides to listen to for the first time, again! What are we up to? 50 b-sides? 50 new Del Amitri songs! How cool would that be? Peace, Darren ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V2 #195 **********************************
