A sombre topic I know, but which delamitri song would you like to have played at your funeral. My wife and I have been discussing this and though there are plenty of DA songs that have the right mood, I can't seem to find one with appropriate lyrics. Any ideas? Nick James Melb. First up was Mike Peters and Alarm 2000. Absolutely amazing performance. Mike was on top form and gave a memorable show packed with energy, intensity and emotion that had you thinking whether he was a 25 yr old. A 2 hour show of Alarm hit after hit (you'd be surprised how many they had) with a few album classics thrown in too. The songs, some real anthems, genuinely still sounded fresh and the crowd of all ages from teens to grown up respectable middle aged men lapped it all up. You couldn't fail but to be drawn in by his enthusiasm and passion that put most of today's rock acts, and I've just about seen them all, to shame. I just wished I'd been well enough to join in the partying at the front which was riotous at times and well appreciated by Mike but being there and seeing it was worthwhile enough. The place was buzzing at the end as everybody knew they had seen a class rock and roll performance. Thanks for doing it Mike, I hope you will again. And the last night, I saw the Godfathers of Goth Punk, The Damned still with Dave Vanian on vocals and Captain Sensible being ... well Captain Sensible really. There was more concession to age here with a lot of slow or slowed down numbers but a set list that featured all their classics and a great evening. Good to see so many groups I loved and admired as a schoolkid still out there doing it and pulling the crowds in too. Somehow, I can't quite see that happening with many of today's chart acts. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Dec 2000 13:35:13 -0000 From: Hopping James W Subject: OV: RE: My Rockin'Weekender If only the Jam and the Clash were still together..... I don't know if that still happens, but those who are having problems might check to see that they don't have that little option checked. I don't remember exactly how to get to the area that this takes place, though, sadly, but hopefully someone out there can remember. Sorry I couldn't be more specific....haven't used mine in about a year.
