Hello. I am new to the opposite view, and I wanted to voice my opinion as to who shoul.d play Justin. I think that John Cusack can have those same intent eyes that Justin has, whereaas David Ducovoney (spelled wrong, I am sure, but you know who I mean) has eyes that just don't LOOK like they are intent, just like he is staring into space. (hmm...maybe because of that TV show he is in....) I just wanted to add my two cents!! I'd favor David for the part too. Somewhere there's a "Separated at Birth?" photo of the two of them side by side and its striking how similar they look! (This was in an old I&P I think...) They both have such goofy grins too. And wonderful eyes. And both are stunning in a kilt! David "I hate Vancouver" Duchovny??? Refer to aforementioned nick-name and you'll get to the root of my animosity. Since I think he's a petty little Harvard graduate, I think he'd be better off staying in his beloved California. They can keep the smegger. John Cusak? While I would eat the chocolate he walks on, I dunno if he'd fit in as a Del. Granted, Kevin Bacon in "Murder in the First" and Tom Cruise in "Interview With the Vampire" taught me to never say never, but they seem like a stretch. How 'bout Christian Bale? He was da bomb in "Velvet Goldmine". Whoa. He already has an accent (it's not THAT far from Wales to Scotland!), and he does have that certain . . . well . . . look about him. I think he'd do just fine. Another choice is John Corbett. Y'ever watch "Northern Exposure"? How 'bout "Sex and the City"? I think that this man would make an awesome addtition to any movie made about the Dels, or fiction based thereupon. Okay - another choice. This is another stretch, but if Duchovny gets a nod, then so will this guy. Danny Materson from "That 70's Show" (Steve Hyde) is young, but with the right wardrobe and a bit of stubble, I think he's fit right in. I know that there are others . . . they'll just have to wait 'cause I can't think of them! They played one song - All You Want I think - and had a vocalist called John Stevens with them, he'd been in another band before, but their name escapes me right now. I was thinking of you at the time as I watched them - he was actually quite good - but no Michael. I suppose life has to go on and the remaining band members have to earn a crust. I don't know if it was a one-off just for the Olympics or if the band are carrying on with John Stevens as their new vocalist. It kinda made me think of Queen. No-one can ever replace Freddie - but lots of artists can do a darn good tribute. I was at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert - and George Michael, David Bowie, and the Extreme singer for example did a great job. Good luck to Athens and beyond to match up to Sydney's effort (sorry but I AM SOOOO in love with my city right now! :) AL - - it's brilliant being depressed - you can behave as badly as you like. - Rob (John Cusack) High Fidelity On Sun, 1 Oct 2000 Ladywiz@aol.com wrote: > Do You Come From A Land Down Under? > > Then maybe you could tell me a bit about the rumour of INXS being a part of > the Olympic Closing Ceremonies.
