I am a bit gloomy like you, Jane, altho absolutely delighted to receive the note from Kevin today about the new songs. Now I'm waiting for word that Iain has indeed created another marvelous guitar instrumental to appease the guitar-addicts amongst OV (wonder who that could be other than yours truly..) But I too wonder how much airplay the band will get. And are they even signed to someone who will promote the album aggressively here in the states yet? Since today is the anniversary of the first and so far only time I saw them in concert (at the Roxy in Atlanta) I am feeling particularly nostalgic and longing for another concert tour. Sigh. And interesting to see that Last Cheap Shot has made it onto the album. This song appeared on the Northern leg of the '98 UK tour, but sadly was dropped before they got to Cambridge (the first Southern gig). I have a bootleg recording of it from Leeds Town and Country Club, and it sounds pretty good (what I can hear of it - the audience chatted all through it!) But the song I'd really like to hear on the album, and which IMHO could be hit material is Everybody Knows That It's You, which made it's live debut at Glasgow Green, and was also played last year at the two US gigs and, I think, the Smukkestefest in Denmark. Most interesting title on the list though has to be The Buttons On My Clothes - that's one I'm curious to hear! Any idea who's producing the next lot Kev?? (I'm having visions of you on that bus trying to type as you hit the potholes!) And in answer to Jane's Question, I am not sure about this! maybe they are doing some tracks without producers - I'll check ! Kevin - now in the safety of the office and away from those nasty buses.
