This is really exciting news Kevin! Can't wait. I agree with Susan's sentiments! And the Dels and JPR are finally getting more involved with the internet, thanks to a lot of hard work and negotiations on Kevin's behalf. From what I've heard there are going to be a lot of exciting things happening on the website over the next few months. Is it just going to be Iain and Justin - or can any of the others be persuaded to come along? And certain people on this list are going to be happy - we'll finally have something Dels to talk about! This morning I got a couple more old magazines in the post with Dels articles - Q from May 1995 and Vox from May 1992, so it looks like it's my lucky Del Day. Now to get my thinking cap on so I can try to come up with a semi-intelligent sounding question! We struck up a casual friendship, but when Nicky left we didn't keep in touch. We bump into each other every now and then at the local shops and swop gossip. Today we were both at a storytelling event at the local library and I had one of my Dels T-shirts on. She asked if I like Del Amitri, and it turns out she's a huge fan. She's never met another Del fan before, everyone she talks to about them says "Del who?" and can't understand why the whole world doesn't realise how wonderful Del Amitri are. I think we can all relate to that! Anyway, she and Keana (her daughter) will be coming to the BBQ on the 26th, and I hope everyone will make her feel really welcome. She doesn't have internet access - but would love to get together with Del Amitri fans. Keana is a big fan too - and walks down the road singing DWTBO. I can't believe that I've known her for four or five years and we'd never talked Dels! I'm usually such an obsessive! It's great when you meet another fan though isn't it. To those out there that have the first "del Amitri" CD - I know Justin by hert (front left). I think that Iain is back right. Can you guys identify the other two and tell me who is standing where? They're all so young, and look so different! Cheers! Kristy in Canada ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V2 #73 *********************************
