In retrospect, it's very amusing reading - looking back on things he said at that time. Especially one quote - where he says that they couldn't play the sort of music the did with short hair any more. I wish Justin would read this again and take note :-) The article is pretty "fluffy" - Record Mirror is aimed at the teen market (16-20 ) - with particular attention to the girls, and I think you'll find this article reflect that. Iain is labelled "a crazy axe demon from hell" !! What? Our Iain?? Anyway, have a look at http://www.the-armstrongs.junglelink.co.uk/Recordmirror.html and let us know what you think. I was well impressed. I think I might delve into his album. Thanks for the tour dates, from what I saw on the telly he is worth seeing. His drummer looks like a bit of a nutter too! Also worth seeing is the Jayhawks. They play Shepherds Bush Empire July 31st. I can recommend them to all Del fans. Only Del content I can think of is how the hell did Del Piero miss those two sitters. cheers ph At 11:20 pm -0500 5/7/00, Jen Woyan wrote: >DAVID GRAY, whose last single 'BABYLON' went into the UK chart at Number 5, >is to embark on a 13-date tour of the UK in October. >He has also added a second date in London in August, where he will now play >the Shepherd's Bush Empire on August 2 and 3. > >Since its release in May, Gray's album 'White Ladder', out on East West >records has gradually risen up the charts and is now at Number 7. > >A second single from the album is likely to be released closer to the time >of the tour, but details have yet to be confirmed. ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V2 #50 *********************************
