If you don't have it, find it and listen! It rocks! Kristy in Canada>> Is this Kirsty in Canada or Krusty the Clown with another bad joke?? Hanson??? Hanson??? Hanson!!! All time greats of rock!!!!?????!!!!! Along with Boyzone, 5ive and New Kids on the Block I assume. Mind you, when Canadian rock consists of The Tragically Hip, Barenaked Ladies & Bryan Adams even Glenn Miller rocks in comparison! I think I've not been reading this list for way too long. If you want to check out a fantastic new Britsh group, listen out for Coldpay who have off a new single "Yellow" out this week and a debut album following in a fortnight. Saw them on Thursday night, awesome, great songs, electric atmosphere. They are being heavily picked up by the music press and I reckon they'll be one of those whose reputation will explode after playing Glastonbury this weekend. Best albums this year include Beulah's "When Your Heartstrings Break" and The Eels "Galaxy of the Daisies" and although not new material (not much anyway) The Devo Anthology (The Pioneers Who Got Scalped) is great listening and reading - I'm biased about the last one - but there hasn't really been a classic rock album for a little while - maybe Dels can do something about that - let's dream! Check out Kylie Minogue's comeback single - undoubtedly one of the finest slices of all time rock!! :>) Mmmmmmmm Bop yeah. Hello All The Scamp From The Principality ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Jun 2000 12:21:19 +0100 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: Re: Hanson Hanson? Isn't that the bunch of long haired pre-pubescent boys who look (and sound) just like girls? Or am I getting befuddled in my old age. And you say they've put out a great new rock album? That wouldn't happen here! If they were young and had looks likely to get a 13 year old girl all excited, they'd be forced to do the boy band thing and release a load of banal covers sounding almost exactly like the originals but lacking in any form of originality or excitement, and then do a set dance routine every time they mimed it on TV. (Cynical about the future of rock? Moi???) Jane Currently listening to: Riding With The King - Eric Clapton/BB King (fantastic!!!!) The Dels have played it many times, and released live tracks from their performances as b-sides. RE: Hanson... Please remember, musical tastes vary wildly! Everybody has their guilty pleasures, as it were. I personally can't even fathom listening to the Hanson boys... although, I've heard some interesting people give thumbs up... people whose opinion I listen to. Generally. Picked up a Supergrass disc today... tracked it once in the car with the windows open... so I couldn't hear it very well. I picked it over Travis and Splendor (Sorry Leah, the guy sounds too much like someone I know... it's disconcerting...) Also found a Train import single!
