I know a lot of us have bought from Push Posters in the past - and I'll have to say they give an excellent service. They posters arrive in very strong packaging and almost before you sent the order! Well - they may take a bit longer to the US - but inland they arrive the next day. The CTBF and HoR posters are particularly nice and the tour programme is well worth having. The only problem is, what on earth do you do with the things once you've got them. That Some Other Suckers Parade poster is big enough to paper the whole wale of my loo! You and Eddie need to move the family to a larger place so you can get yourself a designated "poster" room. Then you can move the stereo, recliner and a small refrigerator in there. Hang all your posters up and put the kids to bed, crack open a beer, put on a CD, relax in your recliner and just look around at all the wonderful scenery. ;>) (Well, we can dream, can't we??) I've got the 'Hatful' poster, a 'Beatles at the Palladium 1963' poster, movie posters including 'Indiana Jones &The Last Crusade' and '3 Men & A Baby', posters of Monet and Mary Cassatt exhibitions, and near my drawing table is the Dels shrine complete with wonderful photos of the band generously shared with me by Karen N., Jane, Doug, & the Wiz. (There are even a few press publicity photos of the Dels, dcTalk & Skillet; I can feel a collection starting here...) That room is just simmering with good vibes, and needless to say puts one in an extremely creative mood! But where in the world will I hang the new stuff when it arrives? ;~} TTFN Susan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jun 2000 12:49:18 -0700 From: "Karen Nesbitt" Subject: OV: Re: Re: Push Posters > I'm lucky to have a scenic studio all my own, which has turned into a > designated poster room featuring some of my favorite things. I thought I was the only one who actually hung these posters up. C'mon people, who says the living room has to conform to the traditional decorating principles?" Well I'm 30 and other than artwork that I buy off of the street corners, my walls are coverd in framed and unframed band posters. My fav are the little promo squares you can get at shows. I love those because 90% of the time I went to the show and they have the date written on them, and if you are really lucky you get the opening act hand written on them too. Sometimes I look at them totally forgetting about seeing a great band open up for someone way before they got big, like the Gin Blossoms for DA. I have my bathroom and bedroom doors covered in them. I have to say thanks to whom ever posted the link to Push Posters, I'm now $40 poorer and three posters richer. I can't wait for the mailman!! Whoohooo! Well, I do have a framed Beatles '65 poster (the one where they're holding the umbrellas) in my laundry room hanging next to the washing machine. (Gotta give myself SOME inspiration for going in there ) And I've got my Dels and BoDeans posters/pics hanging in my little workshop, but there's not much wall space in there, so they need to be smaller in size. (And yes, Susan, there IS a David D. pic in there, too. I've gotta hunt down that kilt one, though, that you just told me about!) The only problem with this is that, when you have kids, it's hard to sit around and enjoy yourself and your posters when Barney's on the TV or the frog got loose under the couch. :>O Cindy ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 21 Jun 2000 16:58:24 -0500 From: "Jen Woyan" Subject: OV: The latest in the UMG saga - yes, it IS Dels-related Universal Music Group falls into French hands http://www.telegraph.co.uk/et?ac=000789045433548&rtmo=pISMpbUe&atmo=99999999 &pg=/et/00/6/21/cnuni21.html Hmm...wonder what's next?
