We used to visit his Kansas farm every other year when I was younger and one of the most anticipated events was the shooting of the guns at his junkyard. It was full of old refrigerators and stoves that we could blow away over and over again, and we didn't have to field dress them afterwards. One time we took out his ancient shotguns. The solid wood stock no shock absorption type. Right before I shot one, a 16 guage I think, he turned to me and said, 'When your shooting a gun that's too big for you, start by aiming low'. This advice has been so useful to me, even without a dusty shotgun that bucks like a rodeo bull and almost dislocates your shoulder, that it has become: Doug's Rule #27: Aim Low" Well anyway I know you're not just gun fans out there some of you even like that Del Amitri band so here's something I finally figured out. Was watching Del videos at Chez Libby (Chez Ratbag?) and finally figured out why Justin cut his hair. Notice how those sexy hair flips have to be timed with the singing, which he also has to work out with the bass playing? Throw in some jumping around and smarmy facial expressions and it was starting to get too limiting having to write music that he could do all this too. Since the only thing that could really go was the hair (certainly not the faces) it did. Another mystery solved. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
