I'm serious, and that's coming from some one who both likes Cry to be Found and Air Supply. Bob Dylan could do evidence...I hate how Bob sings, but I get this picture of him strumming a guitar, sounding like he's ready to cough up a hairball doing that one...especially the "like smoke from factories" part. Matchbox 20: Stone Cold Sober. I can totally picture Rob Thomas doing the ad lib-ish end really really well... Alanis: Make it Always be too Late...before any of you throw things at me, her covers are awesome. Her King of Pain is just as good as the Police, and that's coming from a pretty darn big Sting fan (I get to see him July 18th!!!!!) Sting: Surface of the Moon....I hear "so I need her and I love her, that is true...." Shannon Curfman (my new favorite person): Start with Me...or maybe not, but I really like her and think she could do something of their's really well....maybe Food for Songs? Carly Simon (no laughing...she's a goddess): Kiss this thing goodbye? She's so peppy and sobering all at once...I"m not quite sure. I racked my brain trying to think of what Joni Mitchell could do, but gave up on that one. I'm done now, but no doubt I'll come up with more. For the handful of people who had joined the 'new' list before I had a chance to switch over to the new server, your wait is at an end! Thanks for waiting! Please change your address books for Opposite View to : oppositeview@smoe.org The 'new' list. For those few that have been waiting for us to move over here to smoe.org, you haven't missed too much. We've been discussing the song Evidence. What it means, and what the depth of 'his loss' is... is it a lover that left? Is it a lover that died? Mike doesn't care, he just loves the song. While others are intrigued at the new angle. I hope changing servers will inject new life into OV, as it was petering out there for the last couple of weeks...
