No worries, you do not need to have a Google account to be a member of the list. There are a few trade-offs, but overall, this should be a much better home for the list - more versatile and reliable. The main thing we lose is the "Only-Joni" option. However, most webmail and email software allows one to filter messages directly into the trash, so those of you who want Joni-only can take advantage of NJC in the subject line to silently make those go away. Once you receive a welcome message, you'll know the switch has been made and you can start posting to the new address (details in the welcome) immediately.
