It is an Ibanez George Benson GB10 guitar in brown sunburst. There is a very,very long story about an oath I made to the Universe when I was bidding for it. The short version is that I met Joni in 1983 when she was still playing these guitars, so that tour held significance for me. When I was bidding for it in 2003, I swore that if I was successful I would share the guitar and never hold on to it too tightly. Ashara took delivery of it and Steph and I crossed the Atlantic and collected it at Joni Fest, 2003, where I met so many of the wonderful beings here on JMDL. What a blast! Seeing Kay Ashley's mouth fall open, pick it up, tune it and go straight into Hejira.....what price could you put on that?
