It sure gave me an even greater respect for Joni. While learning these songs I thought Ibm not sure that I can pull these off but then I read in Malkabs book that Joni found the Mingus compositions really challenging too so it inspired me to persevere. For me our band was the highlight. Imagine standing in the middle of these incredible players listening to their musical interplay. As you heard at the end of the recording I just said wow, wow! I am so glad we have a chance to repeat this show in August. I think it will be even better the next time around. Love to you all and happy 4th!
