Its funny because I think that recording had a lot of bad attitudes towards it since everyone thought the old Yes was going to get together and then fans were disappointed by the return of "Yes West." "Endless Dream" is so very good and to my way of thinking is musically as interesting as "Close to the Edge." Trevor Rabin is good, a good guy and definitely was trying to form a band other than "Yes" (Indeed it was "Cinema") when the record execs said, "Why not be Yes?" Lots of people saw him as a usurper. Another instance where the wrong attitude/information can change the way you feel about something. I completely forgot to mention that I was lucky being a Memphian once (not normally used to getting new concerts since we can legally have no other venue than our new NBA citizen sucker arena) because ABWH opened the first show of that tour at our Mud Island Ampitheater. I'll never forget the moon reflecting on the Mississippi River while I heard "Close to the Edge" in its entirety.Oh that was one of those rare times where real life feels a little more exhilarating than it normally does ;)-Clint On Tuesday, June 30, 2015 12:14 PM, Happy The Man wrote: Now looking at that statement it seems I'm saying that Going for the One is my favorite.B Probably what I meant to say is up to and including GFTO, I listened to every album a couple hundred times.B After that not so much.B I did listen to everything that follows, but for some reason Talk stood out to me then the others.B Not saying it was better, but I probably played it more.B With today's modern not necessarily better conveniences I'm amble to store many albums on a SD card in my truck.B Tales & Relayer are on that SD card and during long drives back home they have a tendency to get played. But then again I saw the ABW&H twice during that tour. Dave, I always felt she was listening to Nursery Cryme and Foxtrot.B Along with Gentle Giant and KC. Damn you Laura! ;) Why must you remind me why I love Joni so much. Sometimes Joni can be tough to handle without falling all apart. Damn she's an artist isn't she? Some hints of Joni, like a fine (holy) wine. I guess all of you are music aficionados and already know this, but Jewel was raised in the Alaskan wilderness by her father Atz Kiltcher. He became the subject of a Discovery Channel show, and while Jewel wasn't in the show she sings on the theme song. Her voice is first heard at the 1:05 mark in the theme song. Just wanted to pass that along in case someone gets a kick out of it :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGJyBwpkCBo Steve B - ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Jun 2015 09:45:36 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Re: Jonifest Update!
