Joni probably is and that's enough. Either way, his comments may have been the ones referred to in Leslie's "official" statement. If he's reacting to being (analog) ghosted that's his prerogative to use the access he has to the media to vent frustration. He and James Taylor and God knows who else are probably fielding all sorts of questions about someone they haven't had a relationship with for decades, while they are trying to manage their own careers and new projects. The vacuum of information we all have and may continue to endure may be necessary for Joni's successful convalescence. If so, a simple acknowledgment and request for privacy (to fans and privately to her friends) would seem all that is necessary to short circuit unnecessary and unhelpful speculation. Ms. Morris is likely no stranger to Joni's needs nor those of fans and friends. You may not share her priority but perhaps they are not hers alone. I think this would piss her off as it did me, it just rubbed me the wrong way I suppose because he has always rubbed me the wrong way - he is sort of a blowhard...always saying "she was my old lady, man". I know she wrote "My old Man" 40 years ago but anyway I don't think Crosby is in her tight circle and I know she has one and obviously by her wishes she wants things quiet and on her terms. Also, I think if TMZ had not had a lucky ambulance tracker day in Hollywood we might know very little of this or nothing as health and crisis has been a part of her private life for her whole career. He has gotten tons of press off of her and I doubt these interviews would be covered as they are without her reference. Malka's comments were much more encouraging and respectfully vague. Crosby's comments may be true - I don't know but I wait for something official beginning (hopefully) with the words "contrary to..." but now we have "Joni can't Speak" everywhere. Sorry for the rant. Also, Crosby has graciously and constantly praises Joni as better than the best, even him, I acknowledge that and his talent, his gift as well. And I think she had the best care possible.
