Joni Mitchell is credited as one of the actresses. More can be found here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084271/ Has anyone seen this? Are there copies somewhere? The usual suspects (Amazon, Netflix, iTunes) seem to be unaware of it. Michael ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Jun 2015 17:27:50 +0000 From: "Susan E. McNamara" Subject: RE: They'll crucify you for changing (or not) This is more of a taste thing, I think. I know that JT is up there with the greats, the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, etc. I'm sorry if I made it sound like I thought he sucked. I don't and my mind was changed about him 180 degrees when I saw him in concert. He's just not on my favs list. I also think he's an amazing human being and applaud him on his struggle to kick his addictions. He is very inspirational on many levels. Now the issue of what constitutes change in art is a huge issue. It's almost like I'm thinking that Joni morphs constantly like a kaleidoscope while JT came from the birth canal fully formed. :-) As I said, I am not familiar with his whole catalogue so I shouldn't judge. Shame on me! - -----Original Message----- From: owner-joni@smoe.org [mailto:owner-joni@smoe.org] On Behalf Of c Karma Sent: Tuesday, June 16, 2015 11:11 AM To: joni@smoe.org Subject: re: They'll crucify you for changing (or not) No dissin' on JT, please! He's a uniquely American and beloved artist, audibly iconic. While his work doesn't have the social context and importance of say Pete Seeger's it's been quite valid in defining the "standards" of the post (Vietnam) war era. I don't think that we have to be slavish to Joni's personal definition of her own motivations as an artist. Change is not a requisite item. To apply that is to join the club Joni herself rails against in "Borderline." I had it on VHS but for the life of me can't locate it. It was never released on video, someone taped it off a TV broadcast. And a good thing it is that it has been buried - It's really difficult to watch as it's so bad - everything about it is awful IMO, EXCEPT for the closing credits where Joni plays her song "Love" and scat sings to her guitar. THAT'S pretty cool!
