If you're a camper, you can camp on the grounds as well. THIS IS WHERE THE PARTY (PARTIES!) WILL BE. A great deck, hot tub, full kitchen and dining, grill, a big great room downstairs for song circles, several other gathering spots too. The Swamp Rabbit bike trail is a stone's throw away, bike rentals are available. Many other outdoors activities very nearby. The Bunk room beds are all XL twins and very comfortable - I gave them a test rest on Friday. They'll run about $30/night per person, That's where I plan to hang my hat as sleeping is typically what I do the least of at a fest. The other rooms are as follows: Jane Room: 1 queen bed, shares 2 hall baths $100/night Judy Room: 1 queen bed, tv, Kuerig, private en suite bath $125/night Elroy Room: 2 full beds, tv, Kuerig, private en suite bath $125/night If you don't want to stay at the Lodge for whatever reason, that's cool as there are nearby hotels: Sleep Inn ($67.00/night - 3 miles away from Lodge) https://www.choicehotels.com/south-carolina/travelers-rest/sleep-inn-hotels/s c031 Hampton Inn ($119.00/night - 1 mile away from Lodge) http://tinyurl.com/lv3grcw There are of course a plethora of other lodging options available. I'm assuming we'll schedule "brunch-type" meals in the mid-morning so we can get a little of what everyone wants to eat. Should be able to accommodate a variety of tastes. Will also plan on stocking up on alcohol to avoid having to pay bar prices as well. I'm still working on details but here's the tentative schedule, with LOTS of free time available: NOTE: The weather will be warm and there are many many different things to do, dependent on your interest. We can get more into that later. Thursday September 3: First JMDLer's arrive, gather at the Lodge for music, chill and grill. I realize that people will be arriving at different times and that's cool. I'm happy to pick up at GSP Airport and shuttle folks to the site. I'm not sure who all will be driving in and how many vehicles we'll need. Heck I don't even have much of an idea of a head count! Friday September 4: Morning/afternoon activities as desired. Laurie Antonioli and band in concert (evening). Probably more arrivals as well. Saturday September 5: Bohemian cafe (Downtown Greeville) hosts a "Howling Wolf" style event starting around 6PM - full food menu with vegan options, beer/wine/mixed drinks. I'm planning on making this a combination of JMDL players and local artists. If you want to participate let me know ASAP with a song list (2-3 max). Deep tracks encouraged! Sunday September 5: Have not made any definite plans for Sunday - I know that some folks will be taking off, but the area lends itself for offering us PLENTY to do. Downtown Greenville (15 minutes or so away from the Lodge) offers museums, the renowned Falls Park, many many other options. I have some connections to get some live music to the Lodge as well.
