Practically all of these are 2014 recordings. I suppose it's appropriate for an artist named "Raven" to cover "Black Crow" and he brings a tasty jazziness to it. The Joni Mitchell Project from Israel gives us a 4-bagger, and Allison Crowe shared her version of "For The Roses" as a tribute to Joni's birthday. A couple of UFG's which always makes me happy. A nice medley of Woodstock with "4+20", deja vu all over again. Thanks to Adrian, Paul and Les for their help with this volume. https://www.yousendit.com/download/bXBiZXR4bEEzMW1HR3NUQw 1. Once I have a chance to "come down" I'll write a bit more -- I've got a student performing this evening for her final senior concert, a big dress rehearsal for all my students at the house tomorrow (which I hope Sue, Les etal can come to) and then more events through Wednesday. Whew! There were some highlights for me: meeting Kris Kristofferson -- a supremely sincere and lovely man with a wife who was as warm and kind as they come. Brian Blade with his generous spirit and equally generous, kind, and beautiful wife. Stanlee Gatti who did the after event space planning - he's a good friend of Joni's and will be taking the video of the event for her to see in a couple weeks - he was the best. It's the people you find along the way that make life truly meaningful. As well -- seeing and meeting Sue, Les, Kakki, Jamie...I was honored to be a part of the group and also feel that this chat group is really more than a chat group but a collection of special souls who come together with Joni at the heart of it all. Most of all, I wish Joni a full recovery and hope she takes it slow and rests easy for as long as she needs. She's touched us all and for this we can be eternally grateful. xo Laurie On Sat, May 9, 2015 at 12:37 PM, Jamie Zubairi home wrote: > So nice to meet your briefly Laurie I feel so privileged to have heard you > live! > > Jamie Zubairi > Actor, Artist, Voiceover, Photographer > Thinking of Laurie tonight on this very special night and also of Les and > Sue > and Kakki and maybe Julius too And of course of our dear Joan. I'm quite sure that Joni lyrics pop into my head more often and more meaningfully than anyone's, and that includes Shakespeare's, the Bible, B and those random quotations usually attributed to one of Oscar Wilde, B Confucius or the Dalai Lama.B Sent from Samsung Mobile

That's such a nice thing to write - but it's certainly true. I've met so many wonderful people on the List and I sincerely hope to meet more, one day. Thank you Les Irvin for starting this community twenty years (Bob tells me JMDL started in 1995) ago, Enjoy SF everyone!
