You know what I mean...new job, new tasks, learning curve, I need this can I make it...stomach in knots. All the while I find myself less focused on the possibilities of difficult health matters with Joni. But from time to time I am jolted by the thought that she's still in the hospital, obviously not well but hopefully improving. I'm heartened but worried. I'm worried...did I say I'm worried? Does anyone know anything..anything? Keeping the light on because I'm still afraid of the gdamn dark, Sally Sent from Confunction Junction on my iPhone ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2015 11:18:49 +0000 From: Mike B Subject: Early songs Hi Mary, and all other admirers of Joni's early unreleased songs - just to let you know there's a CD recently appeared in major outlets of two early live performances by Joni. The one amazon review complains of poor sound quality, though. http://www.amazon.co.uk/LIVE-RADIO-BROADCASTS-Joni-Mitchell/dp/B00R8AZJOC/ref =sr_1_13?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1428577888&sr=1-13&keywords=joni+Mitchell Best wishes to all M. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2015 09:56:03 -0400 From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Subject: Re: Recording That's a bootleg of the Gene Autry Show. They sold it under a different title previously and it's since been discontinued. Not sure how long this one will last out there either. Lots of these things popping up on Amazon these days. Something jogged a synapse today and I remembered reading an article in Scientific American in 1998. It is an article by Howard Gardner called "A Multiplicity of Intelligences". It starts on page 18 at the link. On page 21 he lists examples of high intelligence, and for "Musical Intelligence" he has a picture of Joni Mitchell, and lists her alongside Beethoven and John Coltrane. I always wondered if she saw the article. http://www.federaljack.com/ebooks/Consciousness%20Books%20Collection/SciAm%20-%20Exploring%20Intelligence.pdf - -Steve ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2015 06:34:58 -0500 From: lcs4bike@yahoo.com Subject: Joni If there was good news, I think we'd hear it. Silence is loud in my opinion and is reason to keep Joni in thought and prayer. http://youtu.be/faaJqFVP__Q Hoping all things, Laura Sent from my iPhone ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 9 Apr 2015 21:33:28 -0400 From: Marianne Rizzo Subject: Joni words How are you, joni? {{{{{{{{{ We surround you with our love }}}}}}}}}}}} Arms outstretched . .
