Calling your album worst title of the year isn't very nice anyway. There must be a certain line to her whereby a performer doing her is doing it with feeling and the proper emotion as opposed to someone "just singing" I remember her talking about British guys that sound like Bob Dylan and wondered if she was talking about Mark Knophler. He does sound like Dylan, but to me he dosen't seem to be copying him, but to her maybe it does and she dosen't like it.Everything I've heard is that Joni is super friendly and fun in conversation and yet fiercely intelligent. Kakki, I remember you discussing your encounter with her at the Daily Grill and how great it was. I had several trips to LA and went to the Grill (in the early afternoon, after her sleepy time) but she wasn't there. (The waitress said "oh, she comes here all the time, she' s a cool lady!) My favorite Joni thing in LA was going to the Baked Potato (where she met the LA Express). What a cool place! Nothing but baked potatos on the menu and outstanding music, down in the valley.
