"Byrds", I thought. But it was "Look Through Any Window" by The Hollies. It seemed interesting that there was cross-pollination between those two bands long before CSN started singing at Joni's house. Or was it Cass'es house? Only a music buff would consider this stuff. As you say, Clouds IS a strong album with a great flow but if she had included UFG as opposed to one of the songs she chose it would STILL flow beautifully. I'm only bringing it up because UFG was a song she agonized over and worked on for a while. You're probably aware that the first pressing (not released) of Blue did have UFG and Hunter on it, and Little Green was omitted. Obviously this changed with the formal release. I knew that Hunter was replaced by This Flight Tonight. It must have been a hard decision to put something as personal as Little Green on the album, but at the last minute she must have just said f it and let people think what they will. I love UFG, I believe it was one of the very first songs she wrote, which is amazing. At least there's a studio recorded version of it. I don't she made a studio recording of Eastern Rain, did she? Another song just as striking. At least there's that great Fairport cover of it.B JeffNP Dylan Tangled up in Blue On Friday, February 13, 2015 7:47 AM, "Bob.Muller@Fluor.com" wrote: It ended up with 10 songs, but many of them were songs(like UFG) that she had written years earlier and had been in her liveshows.
