Would you, could you in a (multi-disc) box? Would you, could you with Black Cat socks? Would you, could you in the rain? Would you, could you just like this train? Only difference being that in the Dr. Seuss classic the guy finally tried Green Eggs and Ham and decided he liked them after all. I read the review - I think he missed (as most will, I guess) the origin of this collection was as music for a ballet, which would lend itself to more band-oriented songs (later period) than those from her earlier stripped-down periods. And need I add to the comment about DC being embarrassing? And this is the FOURTH time she's foisted it on us. Bob NP: Gary Clark Jr., "Ain't Messin' Round" From: "David J. Bob, re: STAS, CLOUDS, LOTC, BLUE & FTR I wouldnbt describe Joni's first five Albums as "stripped down", I understand YOU first discovered Joni with the COURT And SPARK album and it's your initial frame of reference, but b& I think the first five Albums are as fully realized, in their own way, as anything that followed. As someone who first encountered Joni in the folk clubs in 1967, I know that something was lost, as well as something gained, when she started performing with a band in 1974. There are others here who will tell you that those early Acoustic concerts were truly special. There was 'Magic' in the air, there were other aromas as well. - - - - - - As for DANCIN' CLOWN Why do you feel the need to go on and on and on about this one song? I get that you don't like it. I DO. Over the years I've had CMIARS playing on the CD player in my car. Whenever the CD gets to Dancin' Clown I usually press the repeat button. I like Dancinb Clown, always have.
