I enjoyed his solo work his records with The (Jazz) Crusaders, and he was a Joni contributor as well. He seemed to be a kind and gentle soul and of course a talented guy. Anyway, we go back to 2008 and Volume 115 for some interesting tidbits...a Priest cover (not too many of those) and a Daisy Summer Piper cover (only 1 of those) and a full roster of great tracks. Right now I am IMMERSING myself in this breath-takingly GORGEOUS album that just came out from jazz pianist Billy Childs; "Map To The Treasure - Reimagining Laura Nyro", with some of the finest musicians and vocalist participating - many of which have lent their talents to Joni covers as well.
