I didn't spot any difference in the vocals (performance), although the 'final' version has them mixed differently, with more echo. - --jussi 11.7.2014 14:57, simon@icu.com kirjoitti: > According to Wikipedia 1973 was the first year since she began recording that Mitchell did not release a new album. > > This is technically accurate, but misses the point since any record released in Jan. 1974 was recorded, mastered and > manufactured in 1973. > > In Dec., Asylum Records released a new single, her first in over a year, "Raised On Robbery". > > However, there WAS an earlier version. > > In Sept. This is technically accurate, but misses the point since any record released in Jan. 1974 was recorded, mastered and manufactured in 1973. In Dec., Asylum Records released a new single, her first in over a year, "Raised On Robbery". However, there WAS an earlier version. In Sept. Elektra/Asylum records released #EK-PROMO 22 (WLP) "Elektra/Asylum Fall 1973 Releases" "Raised On Robbery" was included in a version that's slightly different than the final version included on COURT AND SPARK. There vocals are slightly different, and there is No Saxophone solo. - - - - - - On Nov. 6, 1982, Joni was interviewed by Richard Stanley for the BBC Radio 1 "Rock On" program. In 1983, Geffen Records released a limited edition UK-only package of two 7 singles with an edited version of the interview on side one and details of a special contest on side two. The other record was "Chinese Cafe/Unchained Melody" b/w "Ladies Man." - - - - - - Copies of both recordings can be DownLoaded at the following URL: andmoreagain, - - - - - - - - - - simonM ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Jul 2014 15:28:25 -0600 From: Les Irvin Subject: Laurie's CD - JMDL special Just heard from Laurie Antonioli... and just for JMDL members, she's willing to ship the CD ahead of time!
