I'm always in awe to hear Chaka sing Joni's songs, and this one is incredible. She has a Joni quality to her voice. Our own Steve Polifka sang TGR at a Jonifest, and it moved me too. I knew (just KNEW!) I could not beat you to a BSN cover. You are, well, King of All Things Joni-Covered. ; ) Victor! Congrats on the Red Clay gig! I love that venue. Ken and I are going back there to see Michelle Malone and Roxie Watson next Saturday night, in fact. Ron, not in Atlanta! Thanks for responding. Mary Fahl is really stupendous. ; ) Steve (still) in Atlanta To: rong@mweb.co.za CC: joni@smoe.org; swharper@hotmail.com Subject: RE: Mary Fahl BSN From: Bob.Muller@Fluor.com Date: Tue, 17 Jun 2014 16:52:23 -0400 It's nice - from last year. It'll appear on #197. It's not likely to scoop me on a BSN cover, unless it's recorded in a non-English language using a different title or if it's from a very localized release. I'm much more likely to be scooped on a deep track, for instance just today David Gizara told me about a Come In From The Cold cover released in February. I was excited because that's the first CIFTC cover in the database! Bob NP: Muddy Waters, "I Just Want To Make Love With You" From: "ron" To: "'Steve Harper'" , "'The JMDL! It does appear in the list of covers on the website. I checked a week or 2 ago when I came across it on youtube. Mary fahl, formerly of October project, was fabulous last night at red Clay theater in Duluth Georgia (For those of you who remember Eddie's Attic it's Eddie Owen's new place.) Bob M, is it a foregone conclusion that you are aware of her excellent cover of BSN? ;) Steve in Atlanta Sent from my iPhone - ----- No virus found in this message.
