As soon as I can figure out how to get the stupid apostrophes to look like apostrophes and not like AE-something, I'm sending it to Les for the website. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "mark.domyancich@gmail.com" To: joni@smoe.org Cc: Sent: Friday, May 30, 2014 11:55:56 AM Subject: Re: Joni content in Acoustic Guitar magazine, July issue How was the review? I suppose from the dates of the shows you could make some assumptions. Speaking of Eastern Rain, a little birdie told me that there's another cover of that lovely song coming in just a bit. I can understand that she had many released by others (including Eastern Rain by the UK's Fairport Convention),and in a sense they had been released Some not for years after, despite being regularly performed. Is there a record of her setlists, that could track the writing history indirectly, or any articles on this. I suppose there are Leonard Songs and James or Jackson songs,or even Chuck Songs in both senses of the word. It may also give more insight in to the conundrum of which songs fit together, discussed in another thread. It also occurs to me that more than one song in a specific tuning could have been written at the same or similar time, especially if she didn't have more than one acoustic with her at the time. Unfortunately I did NOT hear Joni on the radio yesterday so my streak ended, but if we want to talk a JMDL streak, we are still going strong with 4 days thanks to your report. Let's see who hears Joni on the radio TODAY and maybe we can keep the streak alive.
