It has been bugging me half my life. I don't even mind that horrible flat note. Why didn't they fix that?? The bit that bothers me on that BMR intro is how the band comes barging in in the middle of Jonis fermata and forces her to adopt their downbeat. It may have been spliced together poorly with a glued-on intro (well never know) but its a bit unmusical. Check out also the radical tempo increase in Refuge of the Roads from almost draggy to darned frantic. Again, it might have been assembled from two different takes, with the assumption that no one would notice. I can assure you, those matters will be dealt with when Mutts of the Planet present Hejira on June 1st, in Carlsbad California. You know you should be there, I mean, really.. for the guitar arsenal alone. https://www.facebook.com/events/200847233458423/ Dave On Apr 8, 2014, at 7:26 PM, jlhommedieu@insight.rr.com wrote: > Wow, that guitar at the beginning of "Blue Motel Room" is totally kicking in > the 96/24 version, at full volume on the big rig.
