(sjc) Jonathan, I heard this story on the news this morning and I was really moved. To think some of her first tunes will be a Joni one is terrific. In my opinion, Ms. Germanotta uses the Lady Gaga facade to give herself privacy, exactly the opposite of what Joni has done with her unrelenting honesty. She is very talented, and could certainly write hits for other artists or just sit at the piano. Maybe she will undergo a conversion. My friends who have had professional encounters with her say she misses eating. I can't even imagine what a collaboration would sound like. Emile Sande seems like a more natural fit.
